Advantages to a 3 Hour Break
- One of the advantages is that I head over to the gym, take my time, and workout. I find that with 3 hours vs 1 hour I'm more driven to workout.

Eating Family Meals
- I always take the time to make sure that my toddler and I have meals together during the day (when he's home with me). Since my husband also works 10-hour days away from the home, I make sure that on those days, we have a healthy dinner together. In addition to the healthy food I cook, it's also good for us because we get to spend time together as a family.

Pavlov's exercise
- When I'm home alone, I have a couple of triggers for exercise - for example, every time I go up the stairs, I turn around and do them one more time. And every time I go into my bedroom, I stop and do 10 push-ups.

One Healthy Meal
- I try to cook one healthy meal a day -- breakfast, lunch or dinner. It forces me to stock healthy foods in the pantry and refrigerator.

Breakfast and Good Snacks Important
- I usually have oatmeal for breakfast. It's filling and keeps me going until lunchtime. If I get hungry between meals, I'll eat an apple or have some little carrots and salsa.

Stock healthy snacks
- I try not to keep junk food around. It's just too tempting. I make sure I have fruit, veggies, and low-fat cheese to snack on, and I always eat breakfast.

Exercise Time
- I set aside a certain time (about 9:15) to get in my exercise. It might vary how much I exercise or what kind I do. But I know if I don't have a certain time, the day will slip away and I will not have left my chair.
