I have been an ACP with Arise for 2 years. For me it has been a positive experience. I am able to stay home with my young children and pick my hours and clients. Sometimes I work as few as 10 hrs and sometimes I work more that 40. It is true that there are start up fees to become partnered with Arise, but with Arise you are your own business. And as with any business there are start up costs. However, I believe the fees associated with Arise are not as steep as they would be if I started another business. They also run promotions for ACP 101; right now it is $9.99. Also, if you do not have the funds or desire to become incorporated you can work under someone else's corporation (VSC). Then you will be an employee of them and won't have to worry about incorporating, maintaining a business account or filing your taxes. So these are ways that you can save money on start up costs.
I would recommend Arise to a friend and I actually have a friend that is currently going through the admissions process. She had been thinking about it for a while and once they dropped the ACP cost down to $9.99 she finally decided to dive in. She will also work under my corporation so she does not have to pay the associated fees. I am glad that I can give this opportunity to my friend.
