Headquartered in San Antonio, Texas, Carenet is health care services company that offers its clients--which include employers, insurance companies, hospitals and other medical providers, and government--the services of a medical call center staffed by registered nurses working from home.
Types of Work-at-Home Positions:
For its work-at-home jobs, Carenet hires registered nurses as “Care Advisors.” (It does have customer service call center jobs
for non-nurses, but these are not work-at-home jobs.) The types of services these RNs provide include telephone triage
, medical decision support, medical device monitoring services, member engagement and health care support. This a 24-hour service, so overnight shifts may be available and/or required.
Requirements and Qualifications:
Successful applicants must have a two-year nursing degree at minimum, an unrestricted, current Texas RN license (or a current state license as a RN with the ability to become licensed in Texas), three years of clinical experience in acute, ambulatory area or telehealth. Carenet hires in Nurse Licensure Compact (NCL) states in the U.S. Currently these include Colorado, Iowa, Maryland, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, New Hampshire, North Carolina, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Wisconsin. Onsite training in Texas may be required.
Compensation and Benefits:
Pay is approximately $25 per hour*. Employees receive options for medical, dental, vision insurance, 401(k), life insurance, paid time off and holidays.
