Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) in Data Entry, Transcription, Translation, Secrearial Services
Outsourcing company based in North Carolina offers a variety of services to its clients and hires freelancers (independent contractors) to perform them. These services include transcription, data entry, market research, translation, online customer support and secretarial services.
Types of Work-at-Home Opportunities at Capital Typing:
As is typical with BPOs, the company hires independent contractors, not employees, for its home-based jobs. Typically independent contractors in these types of positions are paid a per piece rate, e.g. per audio hour transcribed or per word, not an hourly rate, so there is no guarantee of minimum wage.
Listed below are the types of home-based opportunities on the company's website. However, the company may not be hiring all or any of these types of positions at a given time.
- Secretarial services - administrative office support for individuals and large corporations
- Transcription - medical, legal and general transcription, Captioning, movie and TV transcripts
- Data entry - data extraction, research, database development and management, direct mail and marketing services
- Online customer support - email response management, live customer support and chat
- Bilingual - translation, transcription and customer support in Spanish, French and German
The company's website is static, and its job opportunities are vague, indicating that though it isn't necessarily a scam, it may not actually be hiring. This company generates a lot of interest from readers so I have attempted to research it further. However, the only discussion I have been able to turn up about someone being hired there is this thread from a WAHM.com forum.
