(1) OC momma says:

We need to fond a politician that will sponsor a bill to exempt moms with children under 5 from jury duty. The extraordinary measures mothers are forced to take in order to find appropriate & safe care for theiir young child/children
are financially & emotionally costly. I just got my jury duty for the first time as a first time mom. I am being required to be available for possible duty for two weeks! It is unreasonable to expect moms of young children to have someone on call for such an extended period if time. My husband & I don’t even have anyone to leave our 3yr old with just to go to an occasional movie! I would not leave my child with a temporary sitter/nanny at such a tender age. Mothers of young children should be exempt for as long as they have children under 5 to care for.
