I really liked your tips for saving money in the grocery store, especially the part about planning menus ahead of time. We recently flew off on a camping vacation. We planned our meals meticulously as we would not be able to bring leftover items home. At the end of the week, we had almost nothing left over. I thought then that if I were more diligent about planning my home menus, I could eliminate a lot of waste.
I think another part of saving is teaching kids how to save money by spending it wisely, etc. All it really takes is some light discussions about our choices as parents.
